Default ? for t1r owners

i just recieved my t1r canister today, it sure has the ti tip, however its not welded onto the can. Am i crazy or does that seem not right. especially since the silencer is connected to the tip (not connected to can). how in the hell would stay on during driving?

also was damaged in shipping. So far AJ-Racing & t1r

The silencer is indeed connected to the tip.

The T1R muffler's titanium tip is indeed not welded onto the muffler can due to the difficulty and higher cost of welding titanium to regular stainless steel. This is actually a very common design with stainless steel mufflers having titanium tips. You need not worry about it falling off

With regards to the damage from shipping, contact Ben/Alan at A&J and they will take care of you. However, be aware that the shop will be closed for holidays from Dec. 24-26 and Dec. 30 to Jan. 12 so you probably won't get a resolution to your problem until after then.

Enjoy your holiday in the meantime

so the tip isnt welded to the can, and the silencer is attached to the tip, so the tip and silencer assembly is just supposed to rest on the can while exhuast is flowing out of the silencer assembly. doesnt seem like gravity would allow that, but once i get some batteries ill snap a pic

oh yea this isnt a catback or axelback, we are talking about a universal muffler
EDIT: cant spell
