Default insurance news for 95redLUDE....

Well, I just got off the phone with my insurance adjustor and they considered my car a "total loss". It made me mad to hear that, but at the same time relieved that they won't try and fix it. They are offering me $10,434.50 with a $2500 buyback price. This price is only covering the car as the other insurance company will be paying me for my property damage. Things like my brand new, flat spotted rear Toyo Proxes FZ4s, my APEX'i Dunk 115 catback, my CDs, a PS2 controller, numerous drawing pads for school and other misc. parts.

I don't know about you guys, but I think that I can get about another grand out of State Farm for just the car. It was in perfect condition; flawless paint, engine, interior, etc. I just recently replaced the clutch assembly, clutch master and slave cylinders (last week). And to top that I see some 94 VTECs with 110k+ going for about $11k, not to mention that mine was a '95 with lower mileage.

So if you guys see any ads online or in the newspaper for 1995 Prelude VTECs going for more than $10,500 .... PLEASE send them to me. Either email me a link or cut them out and fax them to me. I'd really appreciate any help I can get in resolving this matter. Thanks again.

Yep, $2500 includes everything you see here....

And how much are motors and trannies going for right now?? Add to that everything from the back seats forward. Frinday she'll be mine to part out!! Unfortunately I'm having trouble finding a low priced 96-00 Civic HB. If anyone knows of one in the midwest please let me know.

my 95 prelude VTEC was totalled last year. it had 86K miles, absolutelly flawaless with lots of extras, and it was appraised at $11500. that was last year though. i never got any $$ for extras i had. so i think you're getting a fair amount back, plus you can make some money after you buy it back and sell the parts.

Oh and a funny thing... I bought NEW Toyo Proxes FZ4 at the beginning of last month although they are telling me that the treadwear is at 40%. How is that especially when its been snowing here?! Its not like I was at the track or anything. I told them that they probably measured at the flat spotted areas from when the guy pushed my car 40-50 feet after hitting me with the E-brake pulled.
