Default SiR-1 & SiR-2

I was just on osakajdmmotors or whatever.... and I was lookin at the b16a's and I was wondering if you could explain to me what the difference is between the SiR-1 and the SiR-2. besides the obvious horsepower and price difference that way I know which engine I should get .. which one is a better motor?

umm... you want to get the Sir-1 motor. it has a cable transmission (your 4g uses cable trannies, not hydro) and it has pre-obd electronics (distributor, injectors, etc...). if you get an SiR-2 motor it will have obd1 electronics and a hydro transmission that will be a bitch to get to work in your car.

No hp or performance difference from what I can see(feel free to correct me on this if im misunderstood). Hope that helped.
Wrong, 92-00 JDM b16a's have 170hp if they are 5-speed. Difference is in cams, and maybe but i'm not sure higher compression pistons.

SiR, i believe, has different valve springs than then the Sir2, and the redline is higher, i think, on the SiR2. Not sure, but i think i heard that somewhere. Compression is also higher on the SiR2.

ok. the redline is not higher on an sir2. also the cams for an sir2 are slightly more agressive and sir2 has higher compression. not much difference though. u woudlnt be able to feel it.
