Default Comptech High Lift VTEC Cams

I'm looking at bumping up NA hp as much as reliably possible and thought this may be a good alternative. But when I called Comptech and inquired about the hp increase I learned that the $3400 cams and $850 spring and retainer set and requirement that the engine be ported and polished only produces a 15-25rwhp increase. I don't know what kind of numbers I was thinking but I know it wasn't a 25rwhp increase. It seems as though FI is gonna be a lot cheaper.

Anyone have experience with these cams?

Nope. However, that seems like a very high price for just cams. That's what 850 a cam

Supercharger gets my vote.

I think the Comptech valvetrain with p&p head nets 40hp to the wheels.
maybe 25 without the headwork?

I am waiting to see what the cybernation kit end ups like. I am kind of giving up on the BB because of all the secrecy around it. Have you talked with David on Prime. I think he might have some experience with the cams.

Bernert? Yeah, I spoke with him a while ago. He's a pretty easy guy to talk with. I had intended to do a turbo article with him once he was done with it. Apparently, he's not done with it yet. The "bumble bee" driver on prime has around 289rwhp totally NA in his car. sshhh. . .I used the search feature on prime. . .sshhh.

I'll keep you guys updated on what I find out.
