96-98 and 99-00 y8 intake manifold differences?

96-98 and 99-00 y8 intake manifold differences?
i want to swap a y8 manifold on my a6 and i know that the intake manifold from a 96-98 d16y8 will work fine but....
can you use the intake manifold from a 99-00 d16y8?
it has that larger flange were it mounts to the head (flat across instead of with humps for injectors) and that air-injection deal for the idle.
any other differences besides these?
and does it matter which manifold you use...96-98 or 99-00?

You should be able to use any 96-2000 Y8 intake manifold. I remember someone talking about these issues before. Apparently you can just plug off that thingy on the IM.

You should be able to use any 96-2000 Y8 intake manifold. I remember someone talking about these issues before. Apparently you can just plug off that thingy on the IM.
im using a 2000 y8 intake manifold.. the problem is that there are 4 "air assist" holes right above the ports for the fuel injectors.. and the holes run directly to the area where the injectors seat. i used JB weld to fill the holes. no problems now.
