Default WINTER temperture and auto trannys (90-93)

Well I have a 93 accord (......auto...) I have noticed that when the car is cold(not fully warmed) with the tranny is SHIFTING HARD and taking a LONGER TIME to shift-over into gears. The main gears that seem to be laging the most is 4th & 5th.
*i auto start my car about 2 minutes every cold moring before driving. after i get going about 3-4miles the tranny is fine.

-I assume that this is because the tranny is not fully warmed to opertation temp. because even in early moring in the SUMMER the tranny would shift just fine.

***does anyone else have the same problems?
1) What can i do to help my tranny?
2) How often to i need to change ATF? (i only use honda ATF )
3) What is BG tranny aditive?????? give some more info

any input will greatly be appicated. LOL TIA

????? where to get redline AFT? dont care about cost!

---Well i do let me car warm up for a full 2minutes before driving.
-how long should i let my car warm up?
-i always though that anything more than 3minutes for warming up a car is
exssive and unnessary...also bad for the motor.

Even if you let the car warm up, the tranny isn't really generating any heat due to it just being in park, the fulid will warm up a little due to radiation from the engine but nothing substantial. In my opinion and this is just an opniion, I wouldn't switch from the Honda ATF. Honda's seem to be very touchy in the tranny department so I wouldn't mess with it. I change my mom's 98 V-6 tranny fluid for her and I do it about every 10 K or so, you have to remember that when you "change" the fluid you are really only taking a portion of the fluid out, so it's not a True change.
Also letting a car warm up wastes gas, and it's better to just start teh car and drive off being reserved in your acceleration until you reach normal operating temperature. I've been doing this for 5+ years and my car now has 250,000 + miles on it and no engine probs whatsoever. Anyhow that's my .02 take it or leave it.

BTW I know that the shifts are later and firmer on my mom's v-6 when it's cold and the manual says that's to warm the car up faster as you are driving (manual is what says not to warm up the car and just drive off) once it reaches normal temps it acts like it does in the summer.
