Where is the Forced induction hybrid EG forum
Hey I'm just kidding with the topic
truth is one of my friends has a EG civic
with a 97 LS, t03/04 bb, holley intank, and SCI msd igniton off a 94 SOHC
this is a on going project of his, anyway, after puting the basic parts on
half way thru, the mechanic that was helping him, sold his shop and
moved away, so the set up was there minus exhaust except for the down pipe
he cranks this up, and drives it home, first off, the O2 sensor was lost in the shop
so the car was in open loop, he said that he could hear the turbo spool just lightly driving it, but the engine fell on its face when he kicked it, or bog down
also the mechanic, notice i didn't say technician, heh heh, used a questionable
brass check valve that looks like it belongs on a hydralic system, ?
My friend got the mechanic to look at it and he thought that it was a ignition problem, the SCI was puchased off a young punk with a SOHC.
I have not looked at the EG civic yet, but it doesn't sound like ignition unless the box is screwing up the timming, does the MSD SCI still use the ECU timming signal? On the Fuel side he is using a vortec FMU, whichs makes me think that it was instaled backwards maybe and the fuel pump is dead heading 80-90 psi
that would make it bog, ha ha .
this check valve is questionable, the car is running in open loop currently, so the ecu is not reading input, i might have figured this out
can't tell with out looking, but I just found honda tech and it looks cool
