Should I sell my car?
Im caught in a dilemna, my car needs brakes and tires. Also, my car burns alot of oil and that might be the piston rings, which is very expensive, I dont have the money to fix any of it right now, the engine is fine as long as I keep putting oil in it.
I dont really want to sell it, but it might not be worth fixing.
And then also, I have 3 years left on the loan and I didnt want to start a new one.
What do you guys think?

It depends. You may come out losing more if you sell since the car depreciated during your ownership. You will also lose the money used on any upgrades since they dont really attribute to the book value of the car, persay.
Selling a car isnt all that its cracked up to be since you need to have people check it out, test drive it and then haggle on the price. then you have to sort out the details with your existing loan.
Some people sell their cars, come into money later and wish they had kept their cars.
If you sell your car, do you have other means to get around?
If you keep it, at least you know what works and doesnt and you can plan to have it fixed over time since its driveable.
Do what best suits your situation. Each choice has its pros and cons.
Good luck to you.

I'm assuming you mean brake pads & rotors when you say "replace my brakes." Just get new brake pads and get your rotors resurfaced(unless they are really bad or damaged to the point where its useless to resurface.) Brakes aren't taht hard to do. Anyways, new brake pads should costs under $100 for fronts, doesnt really matter what kind you get for the rears IMO.. brake rotors arent bad either, you c ould find some for like $140 for both fronts.. resurface costs $15/rotor at my local car/machine shop. Tires are tires, just something you have to do nomatter what car you have.. I'm not too sure about youre motor though. 2 qts/200 miles is a lot of oil. Did you buy it as new? Does it have a junk/salvage title? Good luck in your decision.
