Removing Tint?
You need to peel back the old tint and then use good ole' ammonia to strip the glue off. You can use a straight edge razor blade to help get it off. If you have rear defrosters make sure you do not use the razor blade as it will scrape off the element. Instead use a non-abrasive scrub pad, you can usually get them at any grocery store. Hope this helps.
To remove the tint, get a hair blower with a extension cord so you can reach your car outside. Apply the hair blower at full speed and adjust it to HOT. Then try to peel it off by making a incision in the tint and peel it with your hands. It works done it already on a car. Takes time but works well.
Trust me the quickest and most cost effective way to take tint off is to :
1. remove tint aka: peel it from window, use a razor blade if necessary to get it all off.
2. to get rid of the glue, just use nail polish remover, and those sponges your mom uses to clean the dishes(the kind with the soft side and the green rough side. Use the rough greenside to remove the glue, itll come off very easily.
3. wipe away the nail polish and clean it with windex, and ur done.

if you use simple green and a razor and slowly peel, apply simple green, and scrape there won't be any sticky stuff left, but if you just yank the tint off then you will have to scrape the gunk off later on, try using nail polish remover WD40 or acetone, becareful with the acetone
