Default Inconsistent Clutch Engagement

I have this little problem when and only when I slow down to a stop and i am already in 1st gear (like putting the car in first before the car stops rollung under 4-5 mph) and the car is stopped. I will let go of the clutch just a little and I will feel the clutch engage a little and the car will move slightly. I am not sure what is causing this. Dont thinks its much of a problem just a little different than my GS-R. Somebody let me know if thay have experienced this and if they know what the problem is. Thanks!

Sounds a lot like a problem I'm having. For me it's intermittent, but it's getting more frequent. Normally the clutch engages pretty high off the floor, but every now and then it starts to engage almost as soon as I let it up. Does that sound like what you're experiencing?

I haven't found a solution for it yet, but one mechanic I spoke to about it said that it sounded like either the master or slave cylinder was going bad. Since my car's still under warranty, I'll be having a dealer look at it at some point, just been to busy to take it in so far.

I am having the same issue w/ my clutch. Once in a while the pedal will get mushy and the clutch engages earlier when I just barely let the clutch out. It feels exactly like when my master cylinder went out but it comes and goes not a constant thing. Both my master or slave cylinder were replaced by dealer about a yr and a half ago and clutch resevoir is never low on fluid, so I dont think that is the problem. I think that one of the springs in the pressure plate is funked up and occasionally gettting loose causing the sloppy pedal feel. Or it could be that the throw out bearing is going bad? Plan on changing the clutch and seeing if that fixes the problem. Got an exedy clutch and a comptech flywheel coming in!!

I have had it happen a couple times.
First time was that the line needed bleeding.
Second time was that the friction material on the disc was coming loose, first run of ACT clutches.
Last time was a bad clutch master cylinder.
Check for the first and last, and pray it is not the second...

I have the same fuggin problem: "Sounds a lot like a problem I'm having. For me it's intermittent, but it's getting more frequent. But I bleed it out once and it had no effect, I'll try again but I think its just a gonner... Very un happy with the Excedy clutch I have.
And thats not to mention that the springs in the hub sing like a man getting his ***** squeezed really hard when I start letting off the clutch...

I think its MAYBE your springs are starting to come loose in the hub(clutch disk)...the input shaft is probaly sticking.

I have the problem too, for about the last 10,000 kms. Bled the clutch twice to no effect. Someone told me my throw out bearing is going. I'll just drive it till it dies.

I did, and they didn't fix it. I don't know if they just ignored the complaint or couldn't figure it out.

I'm under warranty but I had already replaced the clutch once before, SO I think My next clutch might be a 'unsprung' so that way I have no worry about some freaking springs to get loose or break just the tranny instead

'll give them one more chance in January, because this is the first time I've been dissappointed with the service. Then I'll give South Coast a try..

I have the exact same problem as well...it is quite infrequent though...so until this point I haven't worried about it too much. I will see if I can get a new clutch out of it...that would be sweet.

Well, good thing I posted this. I bet alot of people thought they were alone out there. If anybody gets this fixed, please post what was wrong. It not enought of a problem to make me bring it to Acura to have them brake something else.

I wish they would just let me go in their and use their tools to fix my car. I am sure I can do a better job

Anyway thanks for all the input, I know im not alone and hopefully if anybody knows/finds out the problem we will all know.

Well, I figured out what my problem was. Clutch was FUBAR. Took it out and the there was almost no friction material left. Also the spring had worked themselves out of their respective housings. There was also a big sliver of shrapnel in the clutch housing too...Well it lasted 100k, so I guess it was time for a new one. A nice opportunity to put in a performace clutch and comptech flywheel.
