Default Why do you lower fuel pressure to run a lower direct port shot?

Hey, Ive been told that to run a NX direct port shot lower than 100hp, I have to lower the fuel pressure. How much do you have to go down to and why? Is it to prevent it from being too rich or something? Doesnt a lower fuel pressure affect daily driving? Its on an h22, whats the stock pressure? Thanks I was hoping to run a 80hp shot.

Well, NX says to run the 50hp and 75hp as stated on their site, you have to lower the fuel pressure. To run a 100hp shot, the fuel pressure has to be at 40psi. I dont know what stock is though.

You dont have to they jsut say that to get you close on the jets they provide. If you are an experienced tuner you can play with different jets at keep your fuel pressure where its at. A good guy to ask would be itr206, i know he ran nitrous for years and had some good success.

fawk lowering fuel pressure, that would thus negate the whole purpose of a fuel pressure safety switch. if ur runing dp, stick in teh 100 shot jets, run em, get on dyno and see what it does..thats how u really get 100 hp to wheels
