gets fuel
turns over
new batery
resanded grounds on batery cable and thurmostat body
wasnt getting spark
i swap coils it got spark w/ plugs out
put plugs back in... no spark
pulled plugs retested, no spark
resistance in both msd coils and a stock coil thats never been used are the exact same. so im leaning twards it not being a coil issue.
WTF!?

check your dizzy cap and rotor. they might be burned up or old. rotor nasty or cap old and nasty= rotted away... cannot deliver spark. and i would suggest getting new plugs if they are burned up. maybe a lot of carbon build up. or getting nasty b/c you keep dumping fuel against them without spark...? just things went through when my 88 dx wouldn't start. turned out i had to change plugs, cap, rotor, and coil... and check your plug wires maybe?
take off your distributor cap, make sure that screw for the rotor is still on, I've heard of this happening to a lot of people.
also, like someone else already mentioned, if u have a friend close by with a 4th gen civic, swap plug wires with them to see if it'll make a difference.

Yes this happened to me before my ignitor went. Make sure the screw is nice and tight.
i had a similar problem and changed everything, cap, rotor plugs, wires , fuel filter, etc. but it ended up being the main relay. i only had starting problems whrn it was hot as hell outside. thats why i missed the wilde show

fixed.
2 problems:
plugs were grounding out to themselves for some reason.
cillys loaded up w/ fuel
unplugged connector A fromt he ecu (kills power to ecu thus injectors etc). cranked motor to get all the fuel out of cillys.
finally started up. crapy idle as a result of a/f mixture. super weird since the set up ive been running has worked fine for 3 months.
my entire ignition systems is 3 months old so i knew it wasnt dizzy etc etc. combo of cillys loaded full of fuel and shitty NGK plugs did it.
