hey b16 swappers, need you help
i put in my b16 last night. happy to say it runs like a champ. problem is my lower exhaust manifold wont clear the front cross member? its a good 1-3 inches off. have anyone of you guys run into this problem and what did you do to fix it? i have the hasport billet aluminum mounts if that makes any difference.
p.s. did try searching. no success.

I replied in you hyrbid forum post as well. I just did a b series swap into my friends 90 hatch and we had to notch the crossmember a little to make the header clear. Some aftermarket mounts sit the engine a bit more forward than others. Just take the crossmember out and bolt the manifold on, then just cut out what you must to get the crossmember back on. At first it looked it would take quite a bit out but once the header was on we realizded just the very top need to be cut down a bit. Just dont go overboard cutting and you will be okay.
hey. i can get a 2000 si exhaust manifold from a friend. is there any difference? will this help me with clearance problems? also will an additonal o2 senser be there or not? god im soo angry. my cars been done forever and i cant even drive it!
is it the mount bracket that isnt allowing it to clear? if so cut it off you dont need it anyways......
if its the stock manifold.....well it shouldnt be interfering

invest in some of this action!!!! you'll love it and you'll have about 10 inches of room then!!!
other than that, i've never heard of this problem. i bet the SI one is smaller because of all the A/c and P/S crap, try it out!!! good luck

aha. so my clearance issues will be solved with this manifold. now about this o2 situation. i now have 2? or 1? and the 00 si would ha ve how many? again thanks agian.
I used the stock 1990 integra xsi manifold and downpipe that came with my swap. I am using Hasport mounts as well. Fit fine with no problems and bolted right up to my exhaust.
You should use the mani that came with it. Did you get the slots that are meant for the original "front motor mount" out of the way... I had to do that, everyone b16 swap has to do that. Check out this picture of how I did it to my front x-member.
I had to use a saw and cut notches into them so I could take a LARGE sledge hammer and pound them against the x-member so they would be flush and out of the way... I only did the pounding because cutting them off completely would have been TOO much work.
yeah i had to bend those fuxxers outta the way to get the tranny to fit in well. but as for the exhaust manny, i still can get a 00si manifold. would this be a better fit? cuz the xsi one blows *** for fitment.
i can send you another one that i made that's looks just like the one above! let me know if you're interested. shipping would probably be like 20$ so maybe 40$'s shipped? if not thats cool, just let me know.
