What do you guys think of this oil ?
Well I did along search, and the topics that I found never really answered my question. I heard alot of you guys like mobil 1. So I went to buy full synthetic but it was alittle to much for my budget. So I bought 5-30 synthetic blend. What do you guys think about this ? I heard it will burn off to fast ? Is this true, I guess I will have to keep a close eye on it. Also I know this is dumb but the mobil I bought does not say mobil 1, it just says mobil. Is there a difference. Thanks, by the way I am running a b16 engine.

5w-30 is ight but for the colder months I would have went with 10w-30 but its ok and synthetic blend is better than straight up synthetic due to the fact that synthetic oil protects gaskets like ****

Oh and only full synthetic will say Mobil 1 on it

at my honda dealer in so-cal, they have a chart for 99-00si's and del sol si vtec dohc aka b16(which i have), the chart says to use 10w 30, so thats what i use.

dont go between
use either full synthethic or not at all
and BTW for SOHC VTEC and other engines... i have always got feedback from auto parts and honda dealerships that the best oil will be 10w-30 for all year around....(even for tranny purposes)
i always stick to my Valvoline 10w-30 .. always get good results off it.. and doesnt go black until 2.5k miles.(at least on my cases)

Why would you want to go with a thicker oil in the winter?? That makes no sense at all in colder months something like 5w30 is good and so would be like 0w30. I wouldnt want to have thicker oil on start up in the colder months so it isnt harder to start.
