my dsm injectors do not fit!!!!!!
I have a 98 GSR integra. I am doing a turbo project, so I bought some DSM 450cc injectors off of dsmtrader.com and also the ECG map controller. these injectors do not fit. exactly what year and model car do the injectors need to come off of to fit? please be specific.
thanks.
thanks.
You can use the clips off of many cars with that type injector. You also need to bore out the seal in your intake manifold a bit becasue the injectors are a bit fatter than the honda ones. Don't forget the resistor box too.

DAMN! I have to bore out the holes in the intake manifold!!??? what do I use to do that? isn't that a precision hole? how would I bore it bigger with no leaks?
why are u callin project dc2 a dumb ***?
wow shorty z. you are so awesome. you really make me feel bad. too bad I have respect for this board so I don't tell you what I think.. REALLY too bad you don't live near me so I could show you. awesome dude. way to flame someone on a public board. you're my hero.
if you have an IQ that starts with a decimal, you shouldn't be posting and wasting server space. thanks.

Nope they dont melt. Just give it a try using a dremel and you'll see. If you make sure you dont dremel too much and make sure the injectors fit in nice and snug you should definatly not have any leakage problems.
Oh, and this has been covered many times over in the past. Next time try and use the search function before you post.
Just some friendly advice, since you're new here.

Its actually very simple to grind the grommets out. using a dremel or die grinder, with some type of bit (carbide whatever) and just work the inside of the grommet cutting the rubber away evenly, take maybe 2mm away. Just make sure the grommet slides over the injector (semi-snug). Use some lube when putting them in the intake manifold, make it a bit easier too.
For the wiring, you can use a Injector resistor box, or even easier, go to radio shack and get some 10watt 10ohm resistors and wire them inline on each power wire for the injectors. Its pretty simple.
As someone stated, modify the injector, not the factory connector, just get a razor blade and cut out the center alignment on the injector, peice of cake.. I am doing a write up on this pretty soon, already got the pics..

i'm not sure, i have some dsm's on my b16a and i didn't have to drill anything out. i just jammed in there as much as possible and bolted down the fuel rail. there are threads somewhere in the archives that cover this. i know that it doesn't go in all the way and you end up w/ a gap where the injector and the intake mani meet but everyone says its fine. you can also buy some grommets that fills in that space but i don't think that's really necessary.
