Default Dynomax or Magnaflow

Would anyone recommend dynomax over magnaflow universal mufflers, or vice versa?? Looking for an inexpensive replacement...

Dynomax mufflers are closer to OEM size then Magnaflow. Magnaflow will hang a bit lower. Other then that both are awesome mufflers, great construction. If you go with Dynomax make sure its a straight thru design. All Magnaflows are straight thru.

For sound, Dynomax is more raspy. And Magnaflow is deeper. I've got the Dynomax for that incognito look

Dynomax all the way, $30 compared to $70+ for a Magnaflow.

Put a small resonator into your exhaust setup and the raspiness is completely gone. I was upset once I got my Dynomax, but I put a resonator on for $40 and it is one of the cleanest exhausts I've heard. I have a 2.25"in/2.25"out and it looks completely stock.

I would definiltly go with the dynomax. A friend of mine has one on his gsr (01SilverGSR) and it sounds awesome. Also every mangnaflow muffler ive heard is raspy, espesially when the engines cold.

Magnaflow... stainless steel, straight through design... what more do you want? Much better than Dynomax, IMO.

how does the dynomax flow compared to say a ractive canister?? I have a dynomax on my b16 hatch right now and i like the sound, but i'm going lsvtec and will sacrifice it if the canister i have sitting asround will make more power. I have 2.5 inch piping all the way back btw.

HAHAHAHAHAHA wait:
dynomax = 30
resinator to get rid of rasp = 40
total= 70

magnaflow = 70 and no rasp

i dont follow.
if thats true buy a mangaflow from the get go.

dynomax and magnaflow are both great muflers.

http://www.bestautopartsonline.com has good prices. They can get other magnaflow mufflers not listed on their website as well

Get a Dynomax UltraFlo muffler. It is a straight through design for max power and it will give you that loud *** rice rocket sound that most people like.
