Default Any street prepared cars with a legal torque supression device?

section 14.10 I
So I can add a chain or a steel rod, but not a rubber insert. Does anybody else agree with this? And yes I use the illegal insert rather than chewing through mounts.

Part of the reason I am thinking is the inserts are not available for all cars. A torque suppression device can be made easily for any car.

Correct. Rods/chains, etc are ok. Engine mounts must remain stock (no inserts either).

I used a torque strap in my Mustangs (ESP) but Hondas have nothing resembling "torque" which would need to be suppressed . . .

One of the big ones that benefit from this in the "torqueless" group are the Neons. I have talked with several Neon owners that have done this to keep from ripping their weak stock mounts apart every 10k miles.

I don't see why you can't add an insert to an existing mount, but can create a new solid mount. And while I dont have the tourqe of a mustang I do put down 140lbs at the wheels. I was just wondering if others run a legal or illegal device, or if any of the other street prepared drivers were willing to write letters to Howard to recomend the change in the rule.

For one, it is not a "solid" mount. The rules are specific in stating that you can only limit engine movement in a single axis. The inserts you are talking about limit movement in more than one. I understand your point, however as Drew has alluded to earlier, they will not provide you much performance gains. Hondas have pretty good mounts overall.
