The RS is going to give you a much better package out of the box than a Civic DX, but if you go to a Civic forum, then you'll have people telling you to go with the DX. LOL, it's up to you man, ultimately.

if you are planning on swapping in a motor, the DX if u are gonna keep the stock motor the RS no doubt. as they sit stock the RS should be a second faster at the track and if your not talking about about a DX hatch then just get the RS

man get the RS ive got one and im going all motor on a non Vtec should be a fun project. Hey they are a light car and its the lightest of the 3rd Gen Teg and strong block so if u want u can turbo the motor and it will hold together.

RS if u dont have the money to swap or do major motor work right away, much more torque than dx and u can live with the stock teg motor A LOT more than u could with the crap dx one

pick up a like a 90 hatch or a 92 cx hatch and drop a h22a in it... it'll be real quick at the track and a decent daily driver... stock it should get into the high 13's to real low 14's.
im always worrying about my tegs and civic gettin stolen so as soon as i can get ride of my gsr im getting a stock 90 hatch and dropping the h22a and leavin it completely stock.
