Default Framed O2 Sensor!

The technique that people have stated earlier about zip tying your secondary O2 sensor on the OBDII cars doesn't work for me. I have read plenty of other threads and still cannot get a clear answer. I personally have a 97 Accord LX, and wanted to get a high-flo cat. Well from what I read you just zip tie your O2 sensor to the frame and that way it doesn't read any ratio's or anything therefore not bringing up a code, sorda a way of tricking the computer. Well I tried it and 4 days later I saw Mr. Check Engine Light. I hate that thing. Well anyway, just wanted to know if their was any other method of tricking the computer to thinking there is a cat and it is working properly. This method did not work for me.

i thought your supposed to use a resister in place of the o2, but i could be wrong.

why not get a cat wtih the o2 sensor there already?
but some cases the o2 will still set off the cel code for some reason.
i have a 6th gen and mr.turbocl method works...
but resistor and capacitor you need to match up with your o2sensor diagram
voltage and sh_t..

I have a hi flo cat and am running both O2 sensors. Have been running them for about 2 years.

About a month ago I got a code 67- rear O2 sensor. I bought 2 new sensor and will replace them when I get time. Car is in garage for a lot of winter touch ups. Hi flo fuel filter, new injectors, new O2 sensors, hoses, thermostat, spark plug seals, valve adjustment, cooling system flush etc. etc.

I do not think that there is a need to remove the secondary O2 sensor and I also think that it is used to monitor emissions only.

Code 67 = Catalyst system Efficiency Below Threshold
It's usually caused by a bad cat.

Yes,,, but the cat is new and the sensor is old. The cat costs lots and the sensor is relatively cheap.

The sensor that tells me whether the emissions are OK or not. The cat has no sensor or signal sending unit except the rear O2 sensor. i would rather replace an $80 sensor than a $250-$300 cat.

Probably sensor anyway.

Will let u no how I make out.
