Default gsr intake mani on ZC

i know b series parts dont go on d series motors, but i heard some people talking about how gsr manifolds are different, so i just want to make sure would a Skunk2 intake manifold for a 94 GSR fit a dohc ZC motor?

Would have to say no also. Heck you cann't even use a D series intake manifold on a ZC. They designed them all funky.

The ports are farther apart on the B16/18 heads.

I am glad to see someone answered his question without being an ***.

Are you positive about this, the ZC is a D series engine and we know for sure that the throttle bodies are swappable.

I am positive about this as well, ZC/D16a1 intake manifolds are very unique and only fit their own. Just like
GSR will only work on a GSR head
B16a will only work on a B16a/b or Type R head
B18a/b will only work on a B18a/b or a B20b/z
the throttle bodys are swapable from 88-91 crx si (d16a6) to ZC.. same thing.

Jeff

Actually the GSR has very nice size runners, plus the duel runner setup is great for NA cars, you get a broader torque range with that manifold, it really wouldnt be that difficult to hook the runners up either.

Once I get back out to the shop, we are going to do a little experiment, on a D16z6. I am going to chop the D16z6 intake manifold flange, and weld on the GSR runners/manifold back. It should work pretty good, its going to take alot of filling with the tig, and definatly alot of porting.

Here is my custom race intake for my ZC... using a 80mm GM throttle body.
its basically the same idea as that manifold, using the factory flange as shown..

I will be sure to do a detailed write up.

I'm working on a set of ITB's for whatever right now. I think I'll probably finish them for my Z6/A6 first, then work on the ZC and B series manifolds. I'll let you guys know how it turns out. Same theory as abaz, factory flange with another plate welded onto the runners to bolt up four 1 3/4" throttle bodies.
