type r cams in b16a, does it require ecu swap for max efficiency?
I am planning to drop Integra type r cams into a b16a, my question this: to get the most out of this setup should I also swap the ecu. Will the Type r ecu work, or is it necessary to go with an aftermarket programable ecu, or can you just run the stock ecu, and have it account for the additional fuel/air/timing requirements.
Thanks for the info

I have 2 ecus... A stock one and a chipped one... The stock on is a pr3 and the chipped on is the pw0.. I had it chipped by Locash racing because they tested the program on a b16 with boltons and ctr/itr cams/valvetrain and said it produced the "most power". vtec at 5200 fuel cut at 9k. I use it when I autocross/hpde
if you get cams and do some adjusting then you NEED to go to a dyno and I recommend a vafc.
My car felt much faster after I put in the ITR valvetrain and I have stock cam gears set at stock settings.

Thanks for the info. Now all I have to do is round everything up, with the least amount of payroll expense.
