1989 Accord LXi blown auto tranny - anything special?
my friends Lxi accord auto tranny blew up. he sourced a parts car and we have both cars ready. is there a catch in this swap? I figured we'll change the transmission all the way down to the automatic torque converter, but keep linkage + driveshafts, to minimize our efforts...
we are both dubbers (VW freaks) so no expecience with Accord, but i have done a b16 swap in a crx, zc swap in a crx and a couple manual trannies in a crx (it was all in the same crx!!)
so any help/tips appreciated. anything we'll need (new parts). we have a full garage for this project and all air tools, car lift, etc.

oops sorry guys. it is also an accord..
im pretty sure both are F series motors... so everything should bolt up.
never done an auto tranny so that why i was wondering if theres any quips.

Yeah what year is the Accord? if it's an '89 it's an A20 if it's a '90 or above it's a F-series motor. That is probably not an easy swap.

I don't think those were F series. I'm thinking A series like A20
