Default Import builders, reliable engine source?

Im thinking of sourcing a B18C motor for my CRX Si from these guys, but Ive heard from more than one source that they have somewhat shady business practices, and that a lot of stuff they claim to do really isnt done, any truth to this or is it just rumor?
Your comments are appreciated
thankx

Not sure about them in particular, but my advice is to go check the GIANT post in the hybrid forum. It's soley about who to buy engines from/who not to buy from. That's prob. a good place to start.

iv'e heard just as much good as bad about them, but i'd be wary of all the stuff they say gets done because u can't see internals unless u rip it open upon arrival.

Yeah if they do scimp on the internals and the thing blows you should be able to tell afterward. But their prices are so high, you could go to school and learn how to do it yourself for much cheaper. I build my own engines so I dont have guess about anything except when it comes to my own knowledge, thats how I learn, from doing.

i have heard nothing but good things about Jeff and Importbuilders. Yes they are expensive, but since not to many people have the knowledge and experince to build motors like they do; they can charge any amount. They also are not shady and are 100% legit. They also do not BS around when it comes to laying down some seriouse power. Very perfessional from what i have heard & read. If you want to do search on creator: "Importreview"

If i had the money that's who i would want my built motor to come from......... rather than some shop or even JG.

yeah right, import builders is the ****! they are the innovators of street performance. i dont know if youve ever heard of charles madrid(now with area 51), aka dr charles, him and jeff started IB,, atomic performance to me and all the old schoolers, anyway, who else do you know that puts out as much power as they do on their setups. and the dudes have access to any motors you want, so dont worry about the quality. oh yeah, and there super busy all the time!
