Default What should I do ?

Right now I have a CRX w/ B16A2 and a bunch of mods. Granted, its pretty quick, however, I'm looking to go faster. Come spring time I need to make a decision as to whether I should go the LS/VTEC route, or NX wet fogger 50 (possibly 75) shot nitrous kit.

I like the idea of having the power constantly there for me without having to go to the hatch and turn the bottle on. Also, unlike nitrous, that extra power won't have to be re-filled.

Although, I will have a lot more power at my disposal (read: be able to go faster, quicker) with the nitrous, and I won't loose the rev charecteristics of the B16.

By the way, I will probably be going autoXing 2-3 times a year (I'm away at college for most of it), and to the 1/4 mile strip maybe 1-2 times
just to see what time my car can really runs.

Let me know what you think. Thanks.

i'd say ls/vtec because if you get nitrous happy that can be expensive...ls/vtec once its there it stays no matter what you pay (if you do it right). I hear thats not the best thing to do either, but im not too intelligent in b series, like i tell most people, go for a race prepped head or the like, its much more reliable and will be aroudun forever if you keep your engine maintained

how much faster? give us some hp or 1/4 mile times you are looking to get too. this is too broad of a post. all you will get are peoples opinions on what they think is "faster", which may not be what you think is "faster".

So true, i would say supercharge it though.. YOU did say you want power ALWAYS there and SC makes OK 1/4 mile times but they are really nice for auto-xing and daily driving. I heard the ls/vtec is really hard to get done the RIGHT way. so I would stay away from a ticking time bomb like that being that your in school...

Supercharged B16 EF is like a consistent high 12 low 13 sec car considering his current mods, right??

I want consistant low 13s, (possibly being able to break into 12s). The engine right now has less then 7k on it, and, from what I hear, the less miles an engine has on it, the better it is for nitrous. I might as well take advantage of that while I can.

I'd go the supercharged or turbocharged route, however, I want to keep the cost around $1,000.

well my friend is selling a Greddy turbo kit off his d16y8 CRX.. the motor & turbo blew up so he's selling it minus the turbo BUT it has an upgraded Apex or Greddy FMIC. He wants $600 shipped for kit comes with all piping & FMIC minus(-) the turbo since it blew.
SO if you look at it this way $500-600 for kit + 150-300 for turbo your looking at $650-$900 total depending if your installing it WHICH would be a direct bolt on and what turbo you get(price wise). Less then $1000 let me know. I'll give you his email addy and AIM name.
