Default GS-R or Se-R V Spec, which one would you buy?

which one is better overall. i hav a ls teg right now and buying a new car. i love the style of the teg and the gsr is the closest to comparison with the 175hp se-r. also 5sp vs 6sp. 1.8l to 2.5l. which car would you guys buy. msrp for spec v se-r fully loaded is 19600.

the newer the car the better, but the gsr will be faster and less gimicky...have you seen the interior of the v-spec?

why newer the better? not always true

true about the faster and gimicky, and you'll have alot more options if you go GSR, besides the v-specs are ugly

but if you do decide to go with it, for that much, why not just throw a couple more thousand on the tag and buy a type-s, or a base model for about 19.

Get the GSR. SpecV is nice, but it is not the best sport compact out. Lot's of torque, but I don't know- looks kind of cheap to me. The GSR has a wide backing of proven performance parts. I don't know. I'm not a big fan of these "built from the factory" sport compacts. Where's the fun in that? Like that new Neon. Any ******* with 20,000 to throw down can get one?? There's no work involved.

get the GSR. more aftermarket, looks nicer, faster. probably more reliable too, as long as you take care of it of course.

I'd like to see that vspec with 167 @ the wheels

And you can pretty much say that about any car.. lets see couple million people + couple thousand cars.. alot of people will have the same ones

I agree with the Factory performance, wheres the fun.. it just brings more n00bies to the sport compact/import scene with stock cars (not that there is anything wrong with a stock car.. but you know).

ill see if i can get his dyno sheet.
He was at a Nissan meet we held a few months ago .
The cars interior is nice, it has suprising power and goes good with little mods.
the mods will be here soon , trust me .

I didnt like em at 1st but they grew on me .

just depends on what intake and exhaust is being used.

i admit, when SE-R's were coming out, i kinda wanted one since i didn't think i could afford a newer Honda. But then dealers marked them up too much, and i got good deal on my GSR which was my first pick

aye aye aye , you people are too honda prone becuase you have thme .
open your eyes and see the new breed , its not all hondas anymore.

Ive seen spec V's run very low 15's stock or with like 1-2 boltons. not bad for a 4drheavy *** car

i realize there is more out there. i actually wanted to get a new celica gt-s. but friggin dealers wanted like 25-26k at the time. i was 17, almost 18, and just couldn't afford that. plus wouldn't have money to mod.
since i bought my GSR for 12.5k i easily make payments and have some money to mod.

just cuz its 4dr doesn't mean its heavy...we're talking about cheap econo cars here with stronger engines...not family sedans...many, many 2dr "coupes" weigh more than my gsr 4.

point is , i give respect where it is due . . tis dudes car pushed the same hp as my Type R did when it was stock ..i have respect for that

Personally, I would much rather have a GSR than a SE-R V Spec.

I would love to see a dyno sheet of that Spec V with 167 to the wheels. That's pretty damn good, seeing as how i've only seen high 140's with mods on most. I'll believe it when I see it.

Get the vspec. Cheaper insurance, brand new car, has more ***** (torque). Most people on here say get the GSR because they probably have one. I say get the vspec.

my friend has a spec v and ive got a gsr, personaly id never take the spec v over my car. the shifter feels like its made out of plastic, nothing like the gsr shifter. the interior is distgusting in my opinion, and on top of all that my car is faster than his. yea they have a nice amount of torque but they dont have much on the top end. the car feels like it runs out of breath in 3rd gear. id rather have the gsr.
