ok, I got a cheap HP racing short shifter, and it does the job I guess, decent short shifts, but it almost sits as high as my stock shifter
What short shifter sits nice and low? I sometimes feel like I'm driving a bus
Let me know, thanks.

Ive got a chaep *** AP-C shift **** (no flaming). And its the exact same legnth as the factory ****, but the throw feels shorter than my friends B&M, the throw is determined by the legnt from the shift linkage to the ball. Cheap one's probobly **** up your transmission somehow.

i used to have an adjustable str, the ball joint was threaded and the further up the ball was the shorter the shifer was, as well as the shift, when it was all the way up it was tiny even with my mugen ****, knotchy as hell shifts, and it snapped it half
The Del Sol shifter sits low.. As I heard and seen pictures but I can't seem the find them..

I have a solo short shifter, and it`s short, and if you want-it shorter(in height), just cut it down and get a aftermarket shifter, and while changing shifter, change all the bushings down there aswell, they only cost like $10.

You guys realize that it's not the height of the shifter that makes the difference, right? It's the gate/cable mechanism and how tightly wound the shifter is. Bushings help crisp the shift up. Your shifter could be two feet long and the ratio of the base mechanism would still be the contributing factor.
If you want your shifts quicker you shorten the shaft. shorter you need a better shifter assembly.

i got rid of my short shifter awhile ago and use the OEM shift lever with Prothane shifter bushings. best switch ever!
i snapped a gay *** APC one in half. that sucked. don't buy cheap **** .
sucks to hear about good brands shifters breaking tho
I couldn't possibly imagine wanting my shifter lower. My civic had a b&m shifter, and while it was the most crisp and preicse feeling shifter I've ever felt, it was so short, that it pissed me off everyimt I drove. I had to actualyl use effort to get it into 3rd, because with my seating postion I would have to push it into third with my fingertips.
