Re: Chirping sound
Hello,
Whenever I shift gears whether it be from 1st to 2nd or 2nd to 3rd or even from 3rd down to 2nd I hear a chirping sound that is approximately a second long.
The sound only occurs when I push down on the gas pedal as I am letting off the clutch when either upshifting or downshifting. So basically this chirping sound only occurs when I push down on the gas pedal.
It's probably something loose, but I wonder what it is. Thanks for any advice on what it may be.

Yeah, almost definatley a belt. Feel them, see if they feel tight... when mine are tight there's probably about 2mm of play? Anything more and they're probably loose. See if they're cracked at all... they may need replacing. Failing that, I dunno.
you must be joking. possibly sounds like a really weak attempt at showing off. and if this isn.t a joke, then wow! the chirping sound is the small domestic bird that often gets stuck under your driver's seat and likes to chirp when your car lurches when you shift like ****. hope that helps.
