Default itr choices - UK or JDM?

Hi Guys, I have got a bit of a problem and need your advice. I am going to purchase an itr in the next couple of months and I am a bit spoilt for choice.
Because I live in the UK I can choose whether to get a UK car or a JDM car. I have owned a JDM EF8 SiR for the past 5 years and it has been great, but on the odd occasion when I have needed parts for the car or need to get it serviced my local Honda garage act like a bunch of dicks, they try to charge me extra money because it is a JDM car (they say all the parts are different!) and they try to cause as much trouble as possible. I have had so many arguments in the dealership with so called 'technicians' and generally feel dissatisfied with the level of service I get.
In the UK Honda dealerships are a bit of a rarity (there are not that many) especially where I live so I have got a bit of a problem.

My question to you is: If you were in my position would you purchase a UK Car or JDM Car?

Sorry to go on a bit!

Mark

Do you like the JDM front end or the 4 headlight front end? And which one is cheaper for you?
If you get an JDM you'll get better parts like header, steering wheel, rims, suspension (anti-roll bars) etc.

Either way, from US pt. of view reading British Mag, seems like the Brits don't have good impression on any Japanese car so I can imagine they give u trouble just owning a Japanese car and even more a JDM spec ones. The dealer is not 100% wrong due to parts are much Diff. in JDM spec to authorized imported UKDM version. If I have your choice and knows parts do avaliable even JDM but dealer willing to service and gathered parts but more expensive, I will go for JDM due to
best of the best always kept in JDM land and u get to own one legally with support.
In US, not worth trying to legalize one without headache, cost and no support.
Good Luck

Thanks guys for your replies. I love the JDM itr and all things JDM.
I think I am being stupid and needed a bit of reassurance.
I have a friend who will find me a itr in Japan and ship it over to me, he should also be able to source any obscure parts for me that the Dealership wont get so I dont know what I am worrying about. I will be using the car as a daily driver and in the event of a breakdown I just dont want long periods of downtime.

I own a 98 Eurospec ITR (see my sig). But I prefer the JDM Itr. First of all it has a bit more power than the Euro and secondly the 98 JDM (which is a bit rare) has a 4/1 header as standard and some deceint 16x7 wheels.

I wouldnt worry yourself about sourcing parts for a JDM Vehicle mate. I have had my ITR for over 18 months now and the only real parts I have had issues with finding are brake discs(which I have find a solution too) but thats only cos its the older 96 spec.

HondaUK are "*!"!$* when it comes to JDM parts but you can still get them, and 98 spec JDM wont be any different to UKDM for wear and tear items such as brakes/filters/etc.

As everyone on here says it depends which front you like most ;-)

If the attitude you are getting from honda techs in the UK is your biggest problem, then get a UK spec ITR.

If I were you, I would get the JDM car, and just learn how to service it yourself.

Since I last tried to get a service on my EF8 SiR about 4-5 years ago (just after I purchased it) and got hassle from Honda UK for parts etc I learned how to carry out services and maintainance for myself so I will service the itr myself. As I said earlier, I think I am just being stupid.

I cant believe Honda UK almost had me converted to their way of thinking!
