Default Ah no, why! Go turbo?

Well after failing at selling my car - im thinking about turning the sedan into a sleeper. Been said many times, but I figure why the heck not? Toying with the idea of piecing together a "junk yard" turbo kit - on my crap D15 DX motor... If I can pickup all the stuff for under a grand, think I should do it? Although the car has seen WAY better days, I dunno I just feel bad for it sitting in my garage. So im thinking about yanking the motor out and giving it a good cleaning - do a little P&P on the head and strap a low boost 7-8psi turbo kit to it and just run it into the ground. Never had a turbo car before - and frankly im itching for one, I figure >$1000 I cant go wrong right? or... ?

DO NOT buy a used turbo from a junkyard. Trust me. I went through two in two days until I just bought new. Here is a site for good prices... http://www.jgstools.com/turbo/ you can get a T3 w/ internal wastgate for $450.00. That would do you just fine for 7-8 psi.

Any advantages to an internal/external wastegate setup?
