HID owners: Question about HID bulb
i just got my hid kit and when i examined the bulb it had some kinda greenish yellow residue inside the egg shaped part of it. anyone know what that is? was the bulbs used or what? will it affect the function of the bulb? i need to know because i ain't gonna install it if it's used or not worth to install. i got an 18 month warranty so i aint worried. any input would be appreciated.

those are the salts used to stabilize the arc inside the bulb.

Trevor Tan is the man to get your philips kit from.
A++++++ Customer service
I love mine. I had to drive around with one due to my stupidity and my one HID (Driver side) was able to provide more than probably twice the amount of both stock halogens. But its almost like daylight with both HID's

yes it is a ceramic insulator for the return wire.
I saw a website where a guy's insulator cracked and he put JB Weld on it and it works fine.
