take a piece of chalk and mark one spline on the flywheel then use that as one and go all the way around then let us know
is there ne other way???... if i take the tranny apart is their any gaskets or ne thing i gotta change??? theirs no markings on the motor?

Nope no markings the motors are idenical with the exception of the trans. Is the only reason that your wondering is so that you can get a clutch for it? Cause that would be the only reason that you would have to know why other than that the parts are idenical.
And if you want to replace the clutch you are going to have to separate the trans from the engine anyway.

It will help you determine what year tranny you have without you having to take apart anything.

thanks guys
like everybody said
count the clutch spindles tooths...
besides that... if the guy has the tranny laying around also. look at the input shaft.. if it has no groves, its a 88, if it has 1 grove its 89 and if it has 2 grooves its either 90-91
other than that , get all the engine numbers and go to someone who has ALL DATA CD's and have them run the numbers for u.. it should have the info of the car and year and all that crap on it...
