Replacing Seats
I'm taking out my leather seats on an 01' teg and replacing them with some sparco's. Under the passanger seat there doesnt seem to be any wires. On the drier seat there is a wire tha is connected to the seats just by some tacs or something and runs under the carpet ad then into the seat. I was thinkin its for the seat belt sign but not sure. Can someone tell me what the wire is for and if i still need it for the sparcos. Thanks
Alright since the wire is for the seat belt when you take the seat out is it conected to the seat or do you take it off and keep it plugged in for the other seat. And i heard that if i unplug it it will reset my airbags or a part of my ecu for the seats belts? is this true

The wire is only on the drivers side and its for the reminder for you to BUCKLE UP!...the drivers side only h as this feature...the wire comes up from the floor board and plugs in to the wire attatch to the seat and seatbelt...you can just unplug it...
If you use the stocke seatbelt the wire should be attached to it and then you can plug it in to the floorboard wire...HTH

like everyone said.. the wire on the driver side seat is for the seat belt reminder.. notice how when you start your car the seat belt reminder (on the dash) is illuminated.. then when you buckle your seat belt the light on the dash/the reminder goes off? thats what that wire going from the floorboard/carpet to the underside of the driver seat is...
it has a plug which you have to push down a pin (if I recall correctly) to disconnect the harness/wires from the floorboard to the plug on the underside of the seat... you can unbolt the seat (4 bolts) and tilt it to the side if you can't see it or figure it out.. it can also be done w/ the seat bolted down... either way...
