Default Tire size question

Ok here's the deal. Currently I have 205/15/50s on a Sportline drop which is almost 2" drop. I plan on going to 16s but I am going to put some ITR springs on the car.

When I first upgraded tires on my stock GSR springs I had 205/50/15s, and the wheel gap looked horrible, it looked like I was ready for offroading.

Now my question is what size 16" tire should I get that will make the wheel gap seem the least noticeable. 205/45/16 seems to be the most common tire size, but I am afraid it will make the car look really bad with the large amount of wheel gap.

Any suggestions?

You should never try to feel the fender/wheel gap by playing with the tire size. That's a nono. The correct way to do it is by adjusting the suspension height.
Try with the 205/45/16 and the right spring setup or adjustable coilovers.

Right now coilovers arent an option. I kind of wanted a stock setup so I figured ITR springs would be the way to go. I'm just tired of the bad ride and scraping I get with my car now.

16" rims/tires on an R still leave quite a bit of gap. So, I'm sure if you are going to run ITR springs, you're going to run into the same situation.

215/45/16. Very few choices.

215-45-16 is just shy of half an inch taller than 205-45-16

Plus, 215-45-16 is not a popular size so in MOST cases itll be more expensive to choose that combo.

215/40/16, 225/40/16 and 225/45/16 are options too. Depends on wheel width and offset. 2" drop may be too low for a 225 to not scrape though.

Azenis are offered in 215/45/16. That's all that matters.

What about a 205/55/16? There seem to be plenty of tires in this size at Tirerack

If you are plus-sizing the wheels/tires correctly, the "gap" should remain almost identical, whether running 15", 16", or 17" wheels.
