if you have both motors in front of you, just do trial-and-error.

y8 pan wont work on the z6. i know cause i had a z6 sitting round a friends house and i need a pan for my y8 cause i tapped my o.e. one for oil return and i needed to replace and called honda and they said no. so no they are not compatible, but you can call them for yourself if you feel the need, but i did call them and they did say no. why did you go from z6 to y8? oh yeah someone buy the stuff in my sig please

th oil pan from the z6 will work on the y8.. i am using this setup right now...
i had a built z6 with the pan already tapped for the drain back, so i just used that pan on my new engine build up, which was y8 out of a 97 EX...
so the answer is yes... honda said no because they are 2 different part #'s on the two...

trail & error work wonders...
