1100 idle... help me...
No matter what I do, I can't get my idle below 1100 rpm. I have a 95 gsr motor in a 1994 CX. Everything is currently stock including the intake manifold and ECU.
I have tried everything from adjusting my TPS, timing, I loosesned the throttle cable and I even adjusted the idle screw thing on the throttle body.
I am assuming that the only reason why my idle is like that is because i am running a 9.5lbs. Clutchmaster Alum. flywheel. Am I wrong?
Please help me before I bring my car to the Cali state Referee.

Did you try checking the throttle stop on the tb? I remember the same thing happened to a car that I worked on, it had all new gaskets but the thing still wouldn't idle under 1100 rpm even with the idle adjustment screw set all the way back. It turned out that the tb plate was set at an angle which caused more air to enter at idle thus causing the high idle. So I backed the throttle stop so the tb would close a bit more and now it runs and idles like a champ.
You can also try bypassing the IACV and see if that works.
That is where I found my idle problems.
I had to back it off from the Intake Manifold and put a piece of aluminum can between it and the Mani and the bolt it back on.
Boom Idle fixed but, loose all functions of the IACV. No warm up, no help when running A/C.

It is also very possible that you have a vacuum leak, get some carb cleaner, and just start spraying your intake manifold all over to see if you can isolate the leak. Sometimes you cant even hear them. The throttle body sometimes doesnt seal well to the manifold, or the manifold sometimes wont seal good to the head.. Its worth a shot, but ya check the throttle return stop as well.
If none of this stuff works, pull of your intake tube, fire up your car, you will see 2 little inlets in your throttle body, the top one is for the main idle air control valve, the bottom one is the cold start valve. put your finger on them and see if they are sucking, you then can figure out if its either one causing the problem.

thanks for the help. i tried searching for a vacuum leak with carb cleaner also and no leaks. If the throttle stop doesn't work, i will check those two holes in the t/b.

Please help me
So you have isolated as the top oriface.. That is the idle air control valve, Try tapping on the IACV with a screw driver to see if it changes, or see if any of your friends has an extra one you can try out. Or you can take yours off and just clean the crap out of it. sometimes carbon gets in their and makes it a bit sticky.

THanks for all of you guys help. i am gonna go CARB cleaner crzy on it tonight after i remove it from the manifold.
but my idle is still at 1000-1100
I cleaned the IACV and still nothing. When I plug up the 2 holes in my throttle body, the rpm goes to 1000rpm but not lower. it needs to be between 700 and 800.
I am so effin pissed.
when did this start? what is your base timing set at? that will affect your timing a few 50-100 rpms if its advanced to much.
Also, try taking your T-body off and cleaning the living **** out of it, especially the passage for idle screw.

its been at 1100 for as long as i had the swap. I am removing the t/b as soon as i get home tonight and i will clan the living crap out of it. timing is set at stock right now and i did mess with it last night but it didn't make that big if a difference rpm wise.
