Default Gearing

I have a 43T rear. I can't see what i have up front. I think previous owner changed the gearing from stock 15/44. I want to keep it the same so if I have 43T rear, is the proper ratio for the front a 14 or still a 15 or could it be either?

15/44.....14/43, how does it work? If not, I guess I'll have to remove the fairing and find out before I order one won't I?

Default Re: Gearing (cbr600jefF2)

There's no way to know really without popping it off. It's generally rare that someone adjusts the engine side sprocket on a street bike, unless they're just concerned with stunting. And if he did, I'd suggest going back to the stock size anyway. It just adds undo stress.
