I was wondering if it was really that worth it to save up for full suspension like teins or sumthin...or just to get coils or springs and get better shocks and ****...to save up for the teins would take hella long...somebody please give me ur opinion...

full coilovers are in a different world than lowering springs (even w/ konis etc) or cheap *** GC coils. it is totally worth the wait and price. beware of the Tein SS coilovers though, they rattle like crazy up front...their pillow ball mounts are cheaply designed and made, it's driving people crazy just driving around with those things on. I highly recommend JIC (www.jic-magic.com). They are superior quality and they guys at JIC do an incredible job of installing, corner weighting, and aligning your new suspension.

I didn't pay anything for mine. My gf got them for me for xmas. She worked some kinda deal with JIC and she wont tell me how much. She just told me much much less than anyone else would be able to do it for.

Pardon me, but "dump it and still have a nice ride" is an oxymoron. No such thing. JICs are overkill if you're just cruisin around town. Just get springs.

you HAVE to get the hondata upgrade. you will not spend a better $600!! no other mod comes close to getting as much power. you'll need a cold air intake and exhaust tho to get the real benefit of hondata. get the intake manifold gasket too. makes quite a difference.

the hondata with an AEM CAI made 30whp. i say you shoudl get that. but for suspensiom, get coilovers if you are going to race often. coiovers are race setups, the ride will be very very stiff. i would get springs and shocks setup. they are the most comfortable wtih the performnce in hand.

we've seen consistent 20whp out of the hondata upgrade...and this is only possible with the CAI...so 30whp is WAY overstated. i spent 8 hours two weeks ago at the dyno with Hondata, testing all kinds of variations, so i'm not talking out of my ***.

also, my JICs are very streetable on the softest setting. they perform so much better than stock or struts with springs it's not even funny. expensive? yes. worth every penny? absolutely. lowering springs are usually progressive too, which makes them awefully spongy.

Tell your friend that he shouldn't have slammed his car--the stock shocks would have lasted longer.

And it's not the coils, it's the springrate.
