need help, broken stud on valve cover
I adjusted the valves on my wife's Accord and when I was replacing the valve cover, I was torquing the nut down when i got the the last one on the back right and that sucker snapped right off. I know I'm not the first person this has happened to and was wondering how to go about removing the old stud and installing the new one. If anyone has any tips, they would be greatly appreciated.
TIA guys

Take valve cover back off. Remove stud, either deep socket or wrench, if I remember right it's 12 mm. Buy new one at dealer (~$7) Replace stud torque to spec. Tighten nuts to spec, it's only about 7 lbs so be careful.
Edit- also, get those washers with the rubber, if they lok worn. If the rubber is too smashed the valve cover won't seal right around the plug holes and you will leak oil around your plugs.

Is part of the stud still sticking out enough where you can take off with some plyers or a vice grip? If not your gonna have to drill a hole into it then use a reverse drill bit and pull that sucker out. That's the only way you can do it but becareful.
When i was taking off my header, i accidently broke one off the studs off my cylinder head. It was a bitch taking the old stud out. Good luck!
