bugger!! another VSS problem...
just pulled this from my JDM ITR vss.. i have 2 LS trannys that i was gonna swap, the gears are wider on the LS. hmm is the VSS even necessary

VSS is necessary for vtec to work...must be going faster than 13mph if I remember correctly...but my Hondata stage 2 kicks it in if I'm not even moving and the revs are above the vtec x-over.

thanx austin... damn. so now i gotta find a replacement.. are the JDM and USDM gears the same?? i checked out acura carland and couldnt find one. what is it called.. VSS gear??

My VSS is faulty also, Speedo stops at 99mph no matter how fast I go. Been to lazy to replace it.
If you need a new VSS, I have one I bought and do not need. Part number 78410-st7-003. Let me know, still in the box...
