so i just installed a NX EFI "import" kit on my d16z6 civic and when i get on the nitrous at WOT the power seems to pulse and not be constant, whats up with this? i think i heard somewhere that its because i don't have a bottle warmer yet, is that true? thanks

 

im betting on bottle pressure or lack there of .
heat the bottle up in the bath tub or something and get the temp up and try it then ,
deff downb the line get a bottle warmer,
whats your pressure at ?
if you want to run good , get a heater, pressure gauge and purge, that way you can at make it work and know how much pressure you got at all times.

 

It could be. When i ran nitrous back in the day it was usually a fuel problem. Most companies run toward the rich side and that will cause a stumbling on and off again feeling. I would see how your a/f mixture is but it sounds like your too rich.

 

well i ran rich as hell a few times and never had that prob, it felt strong as hell and no pulsing , but i noticed mt ets were higher than they should be and the traps were low
put in smaklker jets and viola a whole diff car
but i dont think its fuel.

 

thanks for the help, i am getting an a/f gague soon and i already have a pressure gague but i have no way to mount it to the bottle. They forgot/didn't want to send me the piece necessary to put the gague on the bottle. i will soon have the right piece so that will be solved too.

EDIT:
i am going to check my plugs today and see what they tell me, since they are new plugs(same day as nitrous) they should be a pretty good look into my engine.

they wont , if they dont have enough miles on em it wont give you an accurate reading .

 

oh ok thanks for that, i might have checked them and thought it was all fine when i really couldn't tell.
