Default Air Conditioner Filter

I have been told there is an air conditioner filter in my 1996 Accord. But when I go to a local parts store to buy a replacement, they claim you can't get one. However, I can buy one for my mom's 1998 CRV. Does anyone know if there is a replacement part for this? Is this a difficult thing to replace? Is it even worth replacing? I thank anyone for any info or opinions!

Thanks!

Thanks for the link...there's some items there I can use! But let me ask you another dumb question - I can't find on that site the air conditioner filter! Do you know what it would be classified under?

Thanks for your help!

Aren't those usually just on European models, except for the CRV?

Thanks, buddy, for the info. It makes sense!!! Besides, I'm the type of person who is picky about maintenance on my car. My parents have a 98 CRV and just bought a 2003 CRV, and I can find the filter for those. You've saved me lots of headaches!!!

Check your owner's manual. If it doesn't say anything at all as far as replacing it periodically, then my bet is that you don't have one. My CRV manual says to replace it every 30K miles.
