Help with RSX lowering!!
OK i'm helping a friend lower his RSX. He bought Ground Control coilovers. So I undo the bolts holding the brake lines to the strut, take off the 3 nuts on top, and undo the two big bolts holding the strut to the hub and separate the tie rod. I pull the hub away from the strut and pull the strut assembly out.
We finish putting the coilovers on and put the strut assembly back together so now we are trying to put the whole suspension back together.
Tie rod goes in fine, I get the top 3 nuts hand tightened to hold the top in.
Here is where im having problems. The hub wont push back up so that its perpendicular to the ground so I can't get the two bolt holes to line up at all. I can get the bottom holes to line up. But the hub wont push back up straight to get the top bolt holes to line up at all.
So we find an article on how to lower an 02Si which is similar in suspension and in their instructions it says that we should of taken the axle hub nut off or the axle would pull out of the tranny while taking the struts out. So we spun the hubs to see if the other side did and it looks like we pulled the axles partway out.
So right now its sitting up on jackstands waiting till the morning. Has anyone run into this type of problem. Can anyone suggest a procedure on how to get everything back together. Like right now I don't know if I should worry bout the axle first or the struts to the hub?
PLEASE HELP!

on the si, i think there are 3 bearings on the end of the drive shaft that have to be lined up perfectly with a groove so that you can pop it back in. mess around with it, it might take a while, but it'll eventually pop back in. this happened to me while i was lowering my car, but luckily we were able to pop it back in right away. hopefully we are talking about the same thing.

haha damn, i posted the fix for this about a year ago on clubrsx. umm, you need to take your half shaft out of the hub, then put the tranny end back in straight (with the shaft parallel to the ground), then put the hub back on...when you tighten the hub nut everything will press back together and you'll be all good.
Thanks for your insite guys. This morning we did the rear and that went in fine. It was harder figuring out how to take the paneling out than to to with the suspension back there. Then we messed with the fronts. turned the hub and pushed, and kept doing that and then it went right back into place. So now its all back together.
