thats a drag cage, not a track/road race cage. Although those bends in the forward legs may not be legal anywhere - that definately lends itself to failure.
the ones from http://www.amestripbars.com/9499aic.asp, can you use stock seats and dash. i was thinking about the 6pt.
you can use the stock seats and dash with a kirk/autopower roll bar. A cage on a daily driver is a bad idea....
And i wouldnt buy a cage kit from anyone that offers a "image" series. Those bends in the forward legs are just not good to have. If you want a good cage thats out of the way for the track you are going to have to cut up your dash and your door panel. No away around that.

just because you see it in a ricer magazine does not mean its ok. Those 4 point harnesses are also a big no-no.
However this does not stop people from making choices based more on image than performance and/or safety.

No i dont. And why should i care who's it is? A daily driven car with a cage in it is a bad idea. 4-point belts are a bad idea if you get in a frontal impact. Given that the car is in SCC is likely not his only car and daily driver.

whats your point? I only said daily driven cars with cages in them is a bad idea. And that 4 point belts are a bad idea. I will wear stock belts unless i have a proper roll bar/cage and 5 point harnesses.

EP's car is a racecar and does not see the street. Sure it may be on the street in that photo shoot but it is NOT a daily driver.
Does that clarify things for you?
