I'm getting ready to paint my car a pearl green and I'm not sure what paint system I should use. I was thinking Dupont Chromabase or Sikkens.
Does anyone have any info on these systems or others like how easy is it to fix chips, how durable is it, ease of use, etc? I've looked around on the Web a bit but I'd like to hear from someone that has used them.
I know the dupont is a two stage system; I've actually used it before. What about Sikkens? I heard it was a single stage system.

 

I used a DuPont Chromabase to paint my Civic. Its the stock s2000 suzuka blue, and I was very happy with the results.

 

I heard good things about both of those brands. Also consider PPG, they are good as well-The OEM factory even uses them. I've never heard of anything else, but make sure they are two stage paints, or even the newer tri stage paints. And make sure they are Ureathane paints for durability.

I also had experience spraying both PPG and Dupont systems and they seem to be about the same. Never tried Sikkens though.
