Default clicking axles..

My itr axles have started to make a clicking noise when you first start off from a dead stop. It is kind of hard to explain, but i know others on this board (like Victor) have had the same problem in the past - and it was not the axle itself. Victors noise went away after he changed wheels, and it sounded exactly the same as mine now. The cv joints appear to be sound, and all lugnuts are tight. Any suggestions?

did you play with your brakes or dust shield lately? Do anything in that area that you may have hit / bumped?

your CV joints are loose.

I took my car to the dealer about two months ago with the same issue. They found out the CV joints were loose. They fixed it under warranty.

Same thing happened to me about a year ago. not only did they click from a dead stop they clicked at slow speeds after "bliping" the throttle in gear. It seemed to be a brake issue. After applying ant-seize to the pads the sound eventually went away. You may want to check those first.
