I was on the same wavelength as TypeR 599. I had to read it three times to process the fact that he has a USDM DC 4-1 and a JDM DC 4-1, not a Honda JDM 4-1, or else I woulda said the same thing. Go for it why not. Glad we don't have visual inspection here.

Sucks to have to worry about visual inspection sorry bro. I would say go for it. Bump for a good idea.

Using the same logic...anyone could go to a machine shop with the CARB # of a street legal header...have them make you the same little tag...and throw that onto whatever header that you have. Chances are the cop won't run the #, just check to see if it is there.

IF you wanted to get really technical, you could even have the name of the header engraved onto the plate so it matches...or for those of us with Spoon headers, you could put any name on there since the Spoon is totally unmarked.

you probaly, actually you would def get away with it if done proper. the po-po aint gonna know the difference. you better get someone that is good at welding b/c welding aluminum is pretty tricky. that header is aluminum right? also im sure you could get it off without putting holes it in. again, just get someone good to do it.

The header is either ceramic or stainless steel.
