97 Prelude, GReddy turbo kit, OBDII...... just trying to figure out which one is going to be best for me, and yes, i searched, been reading the EMS/Hondata debates for the last hour, but still haven't read and answer to that question
The initial cost of Hondata for an OBD2 car is higher than that of the EMS. However, the cost of tuning the systems usually favors Hondata since the system itself is very simple to use and the selection of base maps is excellent. Additionally, most will agree that Hondata is a much easier system to use. People have good results with the EMS, but it's not for the faint of heart.

The base maps for AEM EMS have been getting stronger, I believe both are good choices, and I think that the EMS will be a good choice for OBDII tuners who don't wish to go OBDI. There software is also getting more and more stable, and more and more basemaps are avaliable.
