If the price are similar will you buy EG or EF??
Any reason?

 

IMO the newer civics get uglier every year. I like the old style civic. EF's are sweet cars. If i didn't buy a crx i would of bought an EF.

 

I like the style, very light compare to it's bro hatch, and I rarely see a 4g hatch hook up around my area..

IMO i like the style a lil more than a round car...i am not a fan of big body kits.. so i like the clean look...

 

Cheap, reliable, and dam, the Si is mad sexy!!

 

I've wanted the Si since I first seen it in 1989........I like it better than most new cars on the road!

Everyone and there mom has an EG. I've had 2, dont get me wrong...I liked them...but something about the 4G just turns me on when i see a clean one

I just like the look of the EF's, they're not too swuare, and not too round. personally, i dont really like the look of the rounder ones as much. The EF's just look so....perfect
also, those 1.5L engines will never die, lol

 

rare compaired to the 92+, alot lighter, cheaper, alot easier to find parts for, look better i feel

 

I wanted to build a "sleeper" for a reasonable cost. Here in Los Angeles, the 92+ cars cost a lot more.

Part of the idea of it being a sleeper is that it's less prone to being stolen (I already have another car that I'm too afraid to park anywhere for fear of it being stolen!). The 4G's are less "popular" with thiefs.

Then there is the fact that the 4G civics are lighter.

i love eg's as well but my crx is my baby. i like the look of both. but id still rather have my crx. everyone has a damn eg.

 

Does anybody here find themselves caught staring at their car long periods of time by your g/f or friend, and they're like "what thefuck is so special about that car?" They just dont know.....

**** 92up hondas. all of them. i don't like anything after 91.

i'd take ANYTHING 88-91 accords/integras, (best of the two generations 88-89 and 90-91) preludes, legends, civics, even a crx. the only car honda improved on since 91 is the NSX. that's it. newer integras are junk. newer accords are junk. newer civics are junk, etc.

and i also hate the huge ***, used-space dashes in cars now. i like the flat style way better.

 

i would have bought an EG if the price was similar...no need for a mount kit...mount kits seem kinda iffy...maybe im just paranoid..i duno...i just dont like how its possible to put your engine in with a mount kit..and it not be exactly straight...i'd rather drop one in an eg..and know that its how honda wanted the engine to be positioned....but i love how much lighter the crx's are.....but the main reason for buying an EF was the price...2nd was weight...i could handle a cx though...its only 2k lbs

 

i bought an ED because of the way it looked the 1st time i saw it when i was 14...i started to relize the potention that they all had after reading up on them on the internet, my 1st car was a 86 crx si (not an ED chassis) im more of a CRX fan than anything...i really dont like the newer hondas too much, if i didnt buy another 88-91 civic platform i would have bought a 90-93 integra...

plus the *** of a crx is sooooooo goddam sexy...

 

The later Generations just lack the heart and soul of a 4th gen Civic or CRX. these cars have so much quirky character, plus nearly UNLIMITED support!

 

I would buy either one IMO.

 

Wanted one for 5 or 6 years(before I could drive) and I got this one for 700 bux

 

I think EG look better without any body kit, but EF must have some cosmetic to keep it look up to date.

I would love to have a '93 hatch cx and do a swap... infact I think that's going to be my project for the next year.

Hey after all Mr. Ochiro Honda did die in 1991. Since then his company just nose dived as far as I'm concerned. Yeah I love my dash, cut some non slip material for those trays on top and you can put anything up there and the huge dashes often make visibility an issue.

 

Still 14 years later looks like a newer car!! You nuts! Don't get me wrong I've got a EF and ITR, I still like the shape of EF but compare to others Honda its look really old.
