Depends on who smogs the car for you. But if you take it to a legit place, the "header" (not headers) will ruin it for you. You can always try. But if you have all your stock stuff, just throw it on, shouldnt take more than 1-2hours.

If not, you can always get it done for a cost

probably not welcome to the world of a 200 dollar smog job now, im sure if you ask a few shops they will be able to tell you where to get your car "smogged" like one of the places where you dont even have to bring in your car to get it done if you catch my drift.

oh yah if you have the jdm heat shields for that header it MIGHT pass visual.

my friend got his stock heat shield custom welded onto his DC header...
and passed visual.

You should pass visual inspection if you have the heat shield. And as far as the exhaust system, they just have to see if it physically passes smog. If you have a carsound cat, it should be fine I would hope.

I have icebox, jdm 4-1, carsound cat, and an apex N1. I hope to pass smog.

Anyways, some headers are smog legal. The JDM ITR 4-1 is not one of them.
