Default Valve Question????

ok, i'm building a race spec head. I don't want to get oversized valves so my question is i heard that i can use stock valves just new ones. If i get new stock valves would that be ok with a race cam and titanium retainers and springs??? thx guys. btw this is for a y8 head. And where can i buy valves (stock)??

i dunno anywhere cheap.. honda dealerships usually sell them for 8-10 bucks per valve. as long as your not doing forced induction your pretty safe.. but you can get Ferrea valves at 14-16 each and be as safe as possible, since its a race head i would seriously spend the extra couple bucks

I would discourage you from using SS valves.
Not because they are bad, but because you will also need to replace the valve gides.
The SS valves require gides made of a different material than the stock gides are made out of. I cannot remember what it is thay are made out of, but they are different.
